Palawan Pawnshop Goes Carnival for Sinulog 2018
Palawan Pawnshop – Palawan Express PeraPadala showcase fun images and extravagant colors of a beautiful carnival as itjoined Sinulog Float Parade for the sixth time on January 21, 2018 with thisyear’s theme “One Beat. One Dance. One Vision”.
Annually, the float parade is the mostanticipated part of Cebu’s world-famous feast honoring Sto. Niño, the childJesus. This year, PPS PEPP prepared an elaborate, grand float with its owncarousel, vibrant masks, gigantic ukulele and musical notes with its image ofSeñor Sto. Nino upfront the flamboyant display en route of the main streets ofCebu City followed by another float designed as a façade of a PPS PEPP branchwhere brand ambassadors Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao, Benjie Paras and his son,Andre Paras waved the great mass of onlookers and tourists amidst the hot and humidweather.
Sinulog derived its name from a Cebuanoword sulog meaning like water current movement thatdescribes the forward-backward steps of the Sinulog dance which is believed tohave started way back March 16, 1521. The first official parade was on 1980’sorganized by David Odilao, then Regional Director of the Ministry of Sports,and Youth Development.
