Palawan Pawnshop is now considered to be one of the most reliable, fastest-growing and leading pawnshops in the Philippines. Its first branch, owned and operated by spouses Mr. Bobby and Mrs. Angelita Castro formally opened in Puerto Princesa City on August 17, 1985.
Originally established as a business offering only pawn brokering, we have expanded our services to include money remittance known as Palawan Express Pera Padala. Today, after more than 30 years in the industry, we offer our loyal customers other products and services such as international money remittance, foreign currency exchange, e-loading, bills payment and accident insurance in all our branches in cities, municipalities and remote towns nationwide.
The Palawan Pawnshop Services (PPS) group of companies operates the Palawan Pawnshop and Palawan Express Pera padala chain in the Philippines.

Palawan Pawnshop was established in Puerto Princesa City. The first branch is located along the city’s main road, Rizal Avenue.
We started computerizing our operations further ensuring the public of fast, accurate and reliable service.
The management established Farwest Lending Investor (FLI) now Farwest Lending Investors Development, Inc., a business affiliate of Palawan Pawnshop, significantly supported the company’s expansion program.
We published the first issue of our official newsletter, then yet unnamed. Now known as Balitang 24K, the paper publishes interesting developments about the company.
Palawan Pawnshop started Palawan Express Pera Padala, a domestic money remittance business, with initial operations between Puerto Princesa and Cuyo in Palawan.
We began our automated system of notifying/ reminding our pawners via text broadcast.
Changing the landscape of the remittance business, we ushered in the PPS myWallet Card – a remittance card, VISA card, ATM card and Suki card rolled into one.
