Viva Pit SeƱor! Palawan Pawnshop joins 39th Sinulog Festival

Hala Bira, Iloilo! Palawan Pawnshop – Palawan Express Pera Padala’s lighted “Sarimanok” float with branch ambassador Andre Paras atop won 2nd place in Float Parade of Lights of this year’s Dinagyang Festival with theme “Connecting Communities Thru Culture and Faith” held on January 27, 2019 in Iloilo City.

Twenty-two competing floats from major establishments in Iloilo showcased their vivacious masterpieces and went along the main roads of the city. Palawan Pawnshop- Palawan Express Pera Padala (PPS PEPP) featured the legendary bird of the Maranao people called Sarimanok, which represents Filipino culture and symbolizes good fortune.

Ambassador Andre Paras led Palawan Pawnshop -  Palawan Express Pera Padala officers and associates of different provinces in Visayas in joining the Dinagyang Parade on the same day.

 

Dinagyang, which refers to “revelry” in the Ilonggo dialect, is Iloilo’s annual religious and cultural celebration. Locals and tourists alike seemed to agree that this year’s festivities are the grandest Dinagyang to date.
