PALAWAN GROUP OF COMPANIES SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

WHO ARE QUALIFIED TO APPLY?

  1. The applicant must be incoming first-year college students who are between 17-21 years old, and whose Grade 12 General Weighted Average is 90% and above.
  2. The applicant must be a resident of Palawan.
  3. Priority will be given to applicants from indigent families or those with below-average income.
  4. Applicants must be enrolled in either Palawan State University-Main Campus or Western Philippines University-Main & PPC Campus.
  5. The applicant should possess good moral character, be in good health, and have no derogatory record or involvement in any criminal offense.
  6. Direct dependents and relatives (up to 3rd degree) of Palawan Group of Companies Associates are not eligible to apply.
  7. Must not be a recipient of any scholarship, financial aid, or grants from any government and non-government agency, foundation, and the like except for academic scholarships granted by schools for honor students.

HOW TO APPLY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM?

INTERESTED APPLICANTS SHOULD:

  • Ensure that scanned copies of the following documentary requirements are ready for upload:
    • Recent 2x2 ID Picture
    • Senior High School Report Card 
    • Certificate of Good Moral Character
    • Barangay Certificate of Residency or Barangay Certificate of Indigency 
    • PSA Birth Certificate
    • House picture

Note:
Application with incomplete documentary requirements will not be processed and will be automatically disqualified.

Applicants who pass the initial screening will receive an email notification from the Scholarship Program Management with instructions for the next stage of the selection process.

 

WHAT DOES THE COMPANY EXPECT FROM ITS SCHOLARS?

  • The Palawan Group of Companies (PGC) Scholar is expected to finish his/her course within the prescribed period required for its completion.
  • The PGC Scholar must maintain passing grades in all academic and non-academic subjects, including ROTC and PE.
  • He/she will sign a contract of agreement to be duly notarized by a notary public.
  • In the event that the PGC Scholar fails to complete his/her course without any reasonable explanation and/or direct communication, he/she will be required to refund all financial benefits that have been accorded to him/her.
