Palawan Pawnshop Adopts 2nd ward on Ospital ng Palawan

Puerto Princesa City. Palawan Pawnshop signed off its 2nd sponsored geriatric ward in Ospital ng Palawan (ONP) on March 5, 2020 in the Administrative Office of the hospital with Dr. Melecio N. Dy, MPH, CESE, Medical Center Chief, some hospital administrative heads and staff present alongside some department heads and officers of Palawan Pawnshop – Palawan Express Pera Padala.

In the ceremonial turnover, Dr. Dy expressed his gratefulness in behalf of the ONP for the 2nd geriatric ward that will be supported by Palawan Pawnshop, “This is the sector that needs tender loving care. We are very thankful. It’s an unending grace being shared by Palawan Pawnshop – Palawan Express” he said. On February 14, 2019, the first geriatric ward sponsored by Palawan Pawnshop was turned over to the hospital and the latter’s President and CEO Bobby Castro expressed his willingness to continuously support the province’s biggest government hospital.

Noreen A. Lalo, RSW, Head of Medical Social Work Station presented update on the 1st sponsored ward. For the entire 2019, the ward accommodated 437 elderly patiends.

Palawan Pawnshop is committed in helping the community through numerous corporate social responsibility projects on health, education, sports development and environmental protection through the efforts of Corporate Social Responsibility Department headed by Rema L. Dabalus under the supervision of Executive Vice President and Vice Chairman Angelita M. Castro.
