Palawan Pawnshop Scholars Thanksgiving Party

On April 09, Dayof Valor, 110 scholars of Palawan Pawnshop Scholarship Program (PPS - SP) whofought hard for their dreams celebrated graduation and expressed theirgratitude to Bobby and Angelita Castro, the spouses behind the program, througha thanksgiving party held at the New Palawan Pawnshop Building attended by thecompany’s top management and several former scholars now working as associates.

The freshgraduates, 76 from Palawan State University and 34 from Western PhilippinesUniversity, including one Magna Cum Laude and three Cum Laude, added to thegrowing numbers of proud Alumni of the Scholarship Program with a total of 303graduates since its establishment in 1998. For 21 years now, many lives havechanged and lifted out of poverty through PPS - SP that has produced LicensedEngineers, Certified Public Accountants, Professional Teachers, Social Workers,Psychometricians, and Architects, among others.

The annual thanksgivingprogram began with testimonials from an Alumni of batch 16 and 14 who inspiredthe fresh graduates and motivated them to share their blessings to theirfamilies and the community like a ripple effect of good deeds that began withPPS – SP. Selected graduates together with their parents and guardians alsoshared stories of their journey highlighting how Palawan Pawnshop Scholarship Program was able to help them.
