MANILA - Palawan Pawnshop has partnered with BDO Unibank Inc. to use the bank's point-of-sales (POS) cash service.

The POS cash service, Cash Agad, will boost the efforts of Palawan Pawnshop in expanding its services to allow customers to withdraw money from selected branches nationwide.

As part of the partnership, BDO is set to launch more than 500 POS terminals nationwide this month.

"With Palawan Pawnshop's wide branch network, many customers can have access to cash using their ATM/Debit Cards. It is our aspiration to provide suitable solutions to the varying needs of our clients and our Cash Agad POS Service is another example of the many benefits achieved through our synergistic partnership with Palawan Pawnshop," said Edwin Reyes, executive vice president and transaction banking head of BDO.

Palawan Pawnshop established its first branch in Puerto Princesa in 1985. It now has over 1,000 branches nationwide.

BDO, on the other hand, is the country's largest bank with assets amounting to P1.83 trillion, deposits at P1.49 trillion, and loans at P1.2 trillion.
